Delight at the 3 hour traffic jam, sit or stand in awe at the overcast skies, wonder at the knitted objet d'art of Newlyn, look from a disappointing distance at the remains of Hallsands, breath in the bleak atmosphere of a pub near Morcamblake, look on in amazement at the listing Napoli.

Huzzah! m'hearties we took from the coast of Herne Bay and set sail for the ghostly forts that crown our fair horizon. First off we heaved ho and crept through the shimmering waters of the giant wind farm, snapping as we did with our camera obscuras as the water breached the bough. The sea birds kept us company, as sirens called from the abandoned rusty hulls of defences long past their use. No treasure was found and no ship mates lost. Whilst on board our vessel i had the pleasure of singing a shanty or two with an experienced old sea dog whose picture i managed to capture before we headed for home and dry land. He came well prepared and his whiskers caught the salty spray and aged him while we sliced the darkening drink...... We are all locked up now in our cabins and huts on sod and soil. The candles we lit are sighing their last as we sleep in dreamy mirrored seas and are cloaked in the stark shadows of those shivering sands.
